about Race Pro Trailer
Race Pro is looking like it'll turn out to be a pretty good game. What do you think?
Previews so far have been positive. Do you think it'll become a new leader in the racing genre, like Gran Turismo, Need for Speed and Project Gotham Racing?

The thing that is going to make or break this game is the physics and number of cars available. With 48 cars they are kind of risking being spread too thin over different manufacturers and different types of cars. It looks like it will be an excellent XBox 360 competitor to Gran Turismo, but the car selection might be the thing that makes people who own both systems just buy Gran Turismo.
That said, this thing seems to be on track for a planned release while the most recent generation of Gran Turismo is kind of stalled out with its paid demo version, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. So, the fans of games like this probably already own GT5:P, and might just buy this game while they're waiting for the more substantial full version of Gran Turismo 5 to be released.
The physics are something that nobody can really comment on until they've played a demo. From the video the cars seem to be able to corner a little too quickly at the speeds they're going, but it might just be that they're still tweaking the physics models for accuracy.
I'm liking the look and feel of the game. It doesn't look like a no-name arcade racer, and the developer appears to be doing a really serious job with it. I'll definitely be on the lookout for the demo in the next few months.
The negatives to me from the videos I've seen are that the F1 cars look like unlicensed toys, and the damage model looks like it won't be able to handle cataclysmic crashes. The few seconds of the F1 car dancing upside down over the ground looks very troubling. That's just not how F1 cars look when they crash like that. Though, while playing the game, if you're a good racer you'll be trying to avoid those situations, anyway. The smaller locational damage affecting handling and wind resistance could work just fine. All in all, it is a step-up from the bumper cars that Gran Turismo can become.
