Question as I watch Tim Tebow debate on Tivo: Does the character of an athlete affect how you think of them as a player?

Well, I think sometimes it does, as a Jets fan I really like Chad Pennington and Lauvernus Coles. Even though they don't play for the Jets anymore, because when they would be interviewed or spotlighted they seemed like cool and nice guys. Although as a Jets fan I would take a guy like Michael Vick because Kellen Clemens throws too many interceptions, and Matt Sanchez doesn't have enough experience. I really don't like Michael Vick as a person, but I would root for him if he was in a Jets uniform. I guess my love of the Jets is more than my dislike of Michael Vick.
