I think you can increase your weight if you force yourself to eat more, but be sure you eat healthy. Also, be sure you do not gain too much weight.

Honestly, if you are healthy, stay the way you are.

I am also lean and have the same problem of not being able to gain weight. I think the best thing to do is try to eat high calorie foods as often as you can without making yourself sick. Basically any time you have the opportunity to eat and your not full, try to eat some food.

They make nutrition drinks which are high in calories. I recommend Ensure if you can find them. They are 8oz bottles with 350 calories each and they taste good. Only thing is they are a little expensive.

To increase your weight, you need to take in more calories than you burn. The difficulty is that you may feel full before you can significantly increase intake of calories. You need to make what you eat calorie-dense. Add protein powder to your milk, avoid nonfat milk products; Eat nuts and nut butters (and don't skimp when you spread them on your bread); put cheese in your eggs; drink a real milk shake (not fast food chemical shakes) daily. All of these suggestions presume that you are healthy, without high-cholesterol issues. Also, some people cannot gain weight due to health issues (e.g., hyperthyroidism), so if you feel poorly AND can't gain weight, get a health consult.
