You need to go to the grove which is west of where you are located
It is marked with a circle of white-barked trees
A forest guardian will appear (usually a bear)
When it attacks you, don't attack back at it or you will not pass
If you just stand there, you will get a message saying you passed, making the bear stop his attack on you
Finally, look for the door in a nearby rock with the boots inside.
