Ugh, I'm so impatient for God of War 3! When do you think it will come out?

Rumors have been saying March 2010! :O Sony is expected to announce the real date at E3 this year. What are you hoping for, realistically?

I'm assuming that it will be around Christmas 2009. A new trailer was just released, and there have been multiple previews by people in the press who have seen it played.

There's also the fact that March isn't a very strong time to release a game. Typically sales kind of lull in the early part of the new year because of the recovery from the holiday release blitz, and if ever there was a game to include in that blitz, it's God of War 3.

It doesn't make sense that such a huge game would release in March, but I could believe this holiday season or summer 2010. Most likely is this Christmas, and if that doesn't happen then it will most likely be the summer after. March would be a strange choice.

My good friend who has been working at Sony Santa Monica (the development studio that's making GOW III) as a character modeler for ~2 years and claims it won't be out until at least 2010 and maybe not even until 2011.

This winter or next spring, I'm guessing next spring, but Sony really needs it badly so it might get rushed a bit.

I hope they don't rush it. Rushing a game to fit it within a fiscal year so their numbers look good always ends up a bad move, in my experience.
