How do I listen to my dad's tapes on Fallout 3? It's one of my objectives and I don't know how to do it!
On Fallout 3 by the way:) I've come out of the big boat civilisation thingy and gone to get the tapes, and I don't know how to listen to them.

I'm presuming you've actually picked the tapes up?
If you have the tapes, to listen to them is simple. Bring up your PIP Boy, and note on the bottom of the screen where it has the buttons for stats, items, and data. Make sure you click on data.
Once you're there, above that, on the screen of the PIP Boy, you'll see options for "world map", "local map", and similar options. The one second from the right, "Notes", next to "Radio", is the one you want. When you click on it, you'll see a list of the recordings that have been picked up, so you can listen to them.
If you don't have the tapes yet, if you could give me the name of the mission you're on, I can help you. I'm quite a bit past that in the game, myself, so I don't know exactly where you are.

I am assuming you have already been to Rivet City are in the old lab. You must find the tapes lying about and listen specifically to entry 10. Follow this link for more information on this section. It is a visual walkthrough.
