Proposed Prudential acquisition of AIA. What are the rationales given by Prudential management ?
Saw a Financial Times article in which many significant shareholders have indicated their opposition:
FT article
Excerpt:
“Shareholders who have indicated their opposition to the deal include BlackRock (holding 6 per cent); Fidelity (2 per cent); Legal & General (4 per cent); and Schroders, Standard Life Investments, Henderson and F&C Asset Management (close to 3 per cent between them). US investors are also known to have been set against the deal.”
What are the rationales or figures given by Prudential management on acquisition of AIA?
Thanks.
