What are some examples of beautifully clear software diagrams? I want to document an MVC application well.

I am looking for conceptual/visual standard-setters for diagrams of a complex MVC application. I'm a designer/developer so I want to make something that both clearly explains the object and event models to others, and looks good on screen or on the page. Looking for examples of diagrams and/or suggestions for diagramming tools. Thanks.

Here are 2 great looking examples of clear software diagrams:

Both of these were created with Lovely Charts (http://www.lovelycharts.com/). This online software is completely free and has the capability to create really great looking MVC diagrams in a variety of different formats.

You can use Unified Modeling Language for your application. It consists of standardized diagrams like Use-case, activity diagram, sequence diagram, object and class diagram. Here's an introduction and tutorial about UML:
