Printing large maps for local 911 center, need a good disclaimer on the map, any suggestions?

Ok, I apologize about the vagueness of the Question. I needed it to say that the maps are provided "AS-IS" without any warranties and not to be relied on in an emergency situation. I was looking for suggestions not “professional advice” (I believe I asked for suggestions in the question not an actual legal disclaimer), I can seek out “professional advice” once I figure out what all I would like it to convey. But if someone would like to provide an example that would be great.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You should say something to the effect of...

NOTICE: This map is for visual representation only. Its geographical accuracy is not guaranteed. Therefore, it should not be relied on in times of emergency.

UPDATE: If your goal is to disclaim the accuracy of this map I think a big note up top that says:

"IMPORTANT: This map was published in 2006 by ACME Map company. Like all maps, it is subject to potential errors and frequent changes. If you know of a mistake on the map please add a numbered push pin to the area in question and a note on the clipboard on the side."

This would allow the drivers and dispatch to note when a street changes direction or has been dead-ended, etc.

(note: I used to work on an ambulance in Brooklyn--I get the issue).

What is the disclaimer typing to protect you from? From being the person who put up the map or from being from the map company?

When someone goes to some of our more tricky categories we give a disclaimer/reminder (aka obvious statement for those few who don't understand how the internet works at this point) that says:

"Mahalo Answers is a great place to start your research into Legal questions, but it's not the final answer.

Mahalo Answers is not a substitute for informed professional advice. If you desire or require professional advice, please consult a qualified provider who is licensed in your state or country. You should always seek independent professional advice before acting on any opinion, advice, or information available on Mahalo Answers."

Your question is too vague. What does the disclaimer need to convey? We can't write a proper one without knowing the requirements you'll need to meet.

If this were a real emergency, this map may no longer be accurate. If it's a big emergency, maps everywhere will become useless.
