about Arizona
(Primarily for Arizonans) IF THE ELECTION WAS TODAY, FOR WHOM WOULD YOU VOTE? Gov. Brewer will say today (11/5) she is running for her
own 4-year term (in 2010).
On the Republican side, you have Brewer, P.V. Mayor Vernon Parker, Tucsonan John Munger, and (likely) State Treasurer Dean Martin. Attorney General Terry Goddard is the principle Democratic hopeful, although fmr Tempe Mayor (and fmr Republican) Neil Giuliano is said to be considering a run.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It's really hard to find anyone's positions on the issues at this early stage. I'm generally one of those voters that doesn't decide until the week or so before I get the early ballot.
So from memory, the only one that has left a favorable impression on me was Giuliano. He's got experience revitalizing Tempe and its economy, save the whole stadium disaster. He's also a pretty honest guy, though I'm not sure if his party switch changed any of that.

Thanks, lrig. I hadn't seen any of Grant Woods' show before, either. I had wondered where "that knucklehead" (as he might say) had been. Interestingly, shortly after this interview with Giuliano, Woods became co-chair of Brewer's campaign.
