He always felt strongly about animals rights and protection. One reason for him to continually bring up spaying and neutering your pet is because of the over abundance of puppies and other pets just being abandoned, dropped off in the streets, tortured and killed. Bob Barker, a good man keeping the public aware and making sure they were doing the right thing with their pets.

Why did Bob Barker always tell people to get their pets spayed and neutered at the end of every Price is Right show?
I know this question is a bit out of date, but I always thought that was kind of strange.

He's a well-known supporter of animal rights and became a vegetarian in 1979. Even when Drew Cary took over hosting, he continued the tradition of that signoff.
