The technical answer is no, you can be pregnant and experience vaginal bleeding and believe that you are still experiencing your regular cycle. My aunt was pregnant and did not know it and saw her menstrual cycle for up to 3 months. When she went to the doctor because she started to see changes in her body, the doctor gave her the shock of her life and explained that it was vaginal bleeding.

i believe that you can be on your period during pregnancy. my friend just had a baby boy on october8th 2009. she didnt know she was pregnant the whole time she was holding the baby. she had no prenatal care, she felt no movement, she had her period every month like normally, she went out n partied with friends, drank alot( thank god the baby is ok n absolutely healthy), and then one day(october 8th) she felt these really hard muscle spassims (she called them). she tried home remedies and they just got worse. she basically thought her apendix was bursting. she went to the hospical and come to find out she was pregnant AND 8cm dialated! she pushed that baby out naturally AND THE DOCTORS TOLD HER THAT ITS WEIRD BECAUSE SHE WAS ON HER PERIOD THE WHOLE TIME! now thats wild. she should be on that show called "i didnt know i was pregnant" lol. this is soo ture!

True, but care to expand on the difference between having a period and having bleeding?
suggest using citations from trusted sources and explain what your medical training is (if any) when answering questions about health.

It's considered spotting. And yes, depending on your body you can get bleeding. If its severe, you may need to see a doctor. I had to take hormones to stop it. It was progesterone?
During my first pregnancy, I was doing laundry. I was 4 months and started bleeding profusely. I started taking progesterone and it stopped but I was still ordered to stay off my feet. I was told that I may not be able to carry to term, but several months later I had a healthy baby boy.
Don't freak if you see it, just contact a doctor.
