Yes, you could be. If you're always regular like clockwork, some of the tests out there can be used the day after a missed period.

There are other reasons you could be late. Being really sick or otherwise physically stressing your body; supreme emotional stress like a death in the family or other life-shaking event; health reasons (but this wouldn't be your only symptom).

If it's a hormonal imbalance you'll be seeing other symptoms. You'll either loose a good deal of weight suddenly, or gain a good deal--more than just a few pounds. You might loose hair, or start gaining it. Those are the main two.

If you're experiencing bloating and seeming clumsy, or tired all the time, that could be pregnancy--but it could also be the result of stress.
