To be honest, it was an 80's Flick through and through. The only issue is this is 2010, and our tastes are a bit more evolved. The characters were all not really nice people, so you cared nothing for them, a couple of the scenes were stolen directly from the earlier films. Fishburne was pointless, and was too bloated to look true to his role.

Dialogue was spot on though, but the team did not seem to be good at much except dying, they did not seem not even 20% as capable as the team in the first movie.

Since we all knew it was a predator film, the slow reveal was a waste of film time. Time that could have been spent making a more inventive and bigger film. This was no Aliens to the original Alien (Bigger, Badder, more Bombastic) but more Alien --->Alien3.

But, to it's credit, if you put all 3 Movies in a boxed set, then watch them all in one setting you will come away happy, which is about as solid a recomendation as can be given.

It was actually quite good. The best Predator film since the original. It has a lot of the great slow pacing and tension building of the original. The special effects were quite good and the film didn't rely too heavily on them which makes the special effects they did use more effective. Overall the cast was pretty good. Overall Predators is a fairly good science-fiction film and does justice to the original.
