Where and/or how can one find the most comprehensive directory of GeoCities sites?

Considering the closure of GeoCities and the fact that there are so many good (but old) pages on there that haven't been actively maintained in ages, and that places like archive.org don't seem to have updated their archive of geocities in many many years, I would like to make sure things I feel are valuable are preserved and/or transitioned. I expect many old maintainers/authors may just miss this closure..

I'm guessing the Wayback Machine, run by the Internet Archive. I don't know that absolutely every version of every page will be on there, but they will have the most comprehensive list, and those pages will live on in a sense.

You didn't fully read my question: "t places like archive.org don't seem to have updated their archive of geocities in many many years,"

You're right. I saw it but when I was researching I came across Wayback, and in writing it out grabbed the URL to see that it was archive.org. Enough time had elapsed and I'd spent a bit of time trying to find the answer that I forgot that you'd said NOT archive.org.

Really, if it's not Geocities itself or Archive.org, I don't think you're going to find a good list. Also keep in mind that while it might seem they've not updated their archive of those sites in many years, it might be because those sites themselves haven't been updated, either.
