I think it's different for everyone. I truly do not believe that anyone other than the people who work full time for Mahalo are on here to make a living. If you're on here to make a living, then Mahalo really isn't a good place for that. I believe Mahalo is a good place to supplement your income. There are many people on here who answer questions simply because they enjoy doing it, and that is the same with asking questions. I think Mahalo is a great place to answer questions, and gain knowledge. A lot of the leaders on Mahalo probably feel the same. Many people on Mahalo have other jobs, and have their own lives outside of Mahalo.

I do spend an awful lot of time on here... I think everyone on here knows me better than most people I go to school with every day. The nice thing is I can be myself and help others and geek out a lot. I love that.

I'm still new to this site but I think offering money as an incentive is an interesting idea. I'm not sure what to think of this site yet but in the past I've been going to yahoo answers and 99 percent of the time they already have great answers to questions I have :) I won't rule out this site though, I think it will always be nicer to have more personal answers for me but nothing will ever beat the instant answers I get from yahoo.
