As a grown adult, I'm a little embarrassed to admit that the wife and I watched the Teen Choice Awards last night (then again, I got to see Megan Fox a few times, so that was lovely - oh, and Fergie Ferg too! YUM!)
And, I got to see Mylie Cyrus' performance of her new tune and found "Party in the USA" to be kind of fun. It was ridiculously poppy and designed for tween and teenage girls to have somethnig to scream about, but that being said, it was okay. I looked down and noticed my foot tapping (don't tell my metal friends or I'll never hear the end) and will admit to smiling at the show.
I think she's come a long way from her younger days and I'll be interested to see how far she goes and what the future has for her.

I think Billy Ray got her in the door, but I wouldn't say he is responsible for all her success.

I can understand how the song is catchy and it's nice to see her do something different, but I honestly don't like the song. It doesn't really fit her voice that well, not to mention there's just something weird about hearing Jay-Z and club references, as I still very much associate her with squeaky-clean Disney.

I'll admit that I liked Miley's new song. I don't care what anyone says, it's a good song.
