POLL: Super Smash Bros. Brawl ~or~ [[
Mario Kart Wii|Mario Kart]]??

Between these two which would you recommend for someone who PRIMARILY (but not always) plays his Wii by himself.

Are there any other games worth buying?
Tip for best answer: M$1.00

Mario Kart. You really need to play Brawl multiplayer and that means online play. That can be fun for a while... until the other people start to play cheap. Then it becomes unfun fast...

MK has a good single AND multiplayer. AND they have contests every week or so. MK is a bit "light" though. Not much too it...

I've bought thousands (gulp!) of dollars of games. My top two games:

Guitar Hero (III or World Tour)
Resident Evil 4

Also:
Zack and Wiki

And I second: Paper Mario

If you don't have Zelda: Twilight Princess, then, why do you own a Wii?

@eatthatpopcorn, as far as I know there is nothing announced for a new Zelda game for the Wii. That doesn't mean there won't be in the near future, but it likely would not be ready until at least some time in 2010.

The newest Zelda game was Phantom Hourglass for the DS. If you have a DS I suggest you check it out, I highly enjoyed it!

No new Zelda game on the horizon.

Doesn't matter that Z:TP is two years old. It's still BEAUTIFUL and a great game...

Can't go wrong with some good 'ol' Mario Kart, can you?

I would recommend Mario Kart. I own the game for the WII and usually play it by myself. It is fun to play solo, and after a bit of practice you can play online with the wireless setup. Among the 15+ Wii games I own, Mario Kart is the game I have played the most since I bought it.

I do not get the opportunity to play as much as I would like as I seem to always be away from home. Other must haves that I have played would include The Godfather. That game is great! It is interactive as many of the Wii games are. It also seems to last forever. It was the first game I bought with my Wii a couple of years ago and I have logged countless hours on it and have yet to complete it. It is definatly a good investment if you are looking for a game that will last a while. My wife enjoyed the Paper Mario game. I liked it as well, but it was a bit easy as most Mario games seem to be. I have played a few others, but of the 15+ I have, there are many that I haven't even started. I would stay away from the Marvel games, Fantastic Four was okay. I can't think of the name of the one where several Marvel characters are in it, but I do remember that neither me or my wife enjoyed it at all. The game play was weak as were the graphics. I would be able to give you a better response to what I have played and enjoyed if I were home, but that won't be for another month.

I'm a *huge* fan of Smash Bros myself and there are plenty of single-player challenges available if you don't have anyone to play with. While it's true that Smash Bros is better with friends, the same can be said of Mario Kart, and to be honest, I haven't been too impressed with the last few Mario Karts.
