Next Question
Your question is cut and dried, the Lt Governor becomes governor, as has already happened. After that though, it becomes more complicated. The Lt Governor does not get replaced. If something happens to him, the state Attorney General becomes governor. Next in line would be Secretary of State. However, the Governor is supposed to appoint a new Attorney General when that post is vacant. It is not clear to me whether the newly appointed Attorney General would be next in line or the Secretary of State.

According to Wikipedia:
Due to Blagojevich's single digit approval rating, and Quinn's known rivalry with Blagojevich, the transfer of power was welcomed by many Illinois citizens and politicians, including attorney general Lisa Madigan and former Republican governor Jim Edgar. Such popularity has birthed a variety of faux election garb, such as "Pat Quinn for Governor '08" stickers and other such items circulated mostly via the internet.
The Wikipedia article cited has lots of interesting facts about him.

He is Democratic Lieutenant Governor Patrick Quinn was sworn in almost immediately, saying, "The ordeal is over" and urging people to "to make the sacrifices necessary to address the serious challenges we have before us: The integrity challenge, the challenge of our economy, the challenge of making sure that we pay our bills." has expressed concerns about the state's budget ills, about which he says he has been told little, and a 7.6 percent unemployment rate that is above the national average. The article is found on the webpage address:http://uk.reuters.com/article/marketsNewsUS/idUKN2929891420090130?pageNumber=1
