I love Cenk Uygur, and I think he would be a good fit on MSNBC. They need someone more vibrant on their network. He's smart, and I find his viewpoints refreshing.
My 2nd choice would be Bill Maher. I think he's great, but where he is at now on HBO is probably a better fit for him.

Who do you think should be the next MSNBC host?
The 10pm slot is open and they are asking the internets who should be the next host.

My support is being thrown behind Cenk Uygur, as I used to blog with him at AOL and highly respect his opinions, if you haven't ever checked out his show, do it!

If his television persona could be polished a bit, I'd like to see Thom Hartmann on. I may not always agree with him, but he's got a tremendous base of knowledge and can generally defend his point without being an obnoxious git.

I can't remember when a network has disintegrated in quality so fast as has MSNBC. The death of Tim Russert was a real tragedy for these people. I vote for Luke Russert in the hope that his fathers passion for honesty has rubbed off on him, and the blatantly left wing tilt at MSNBC that has occurred since the death of Tim Russert will be reversed. I say that as a center leftist myself.
