McCain is a bright girl. A republican for sure, but still maybe someone who can keep the GOP from becoming the party of Ingraham and Limbaugh. But I will say to Ingraham: Some girls just shouldn’t wear tight pants, and Ingraham should not throw stones.
It’s really heartening to see that the inherent viciousness of the right wing is getting some exposure. And that they’re turning it on their own now.

That said, I think the fat jokes are more 'out of line' than the 'too extreme' comments. MM is a moderate Republican, probably might not even be one if her Dad wasn't...and she's certainly not the first to call Ann C too extreme...

Meghan McCain told Laura Ingraham to "stop talking about my body". Which Republican is in the wrong here?
Which Republican is in the wrong here: McCain for criticizing Ann Coulter as "too extreme" or Ingraham for using fat jokes to mock McCain?

• I really liked your answer, dattappan, because it points up that there really are a new generation of sensible Republican women. I think that's a great reason for hope (even though I'm on the other side), and, as you say, it is heartening that bad behavior on the part of the nasty wing of the GOP is being brought to light. Thanks!

Interesting the focus that is being taken off of what is going on in the Democratic White House... That said, I think the fat jokes are more 'out of line' than the 'too extreme' comments. MM is a moderate Republican, probably might not even be one if her Dad wasn't...and she's certainly not the first to call Ann C too extreme...
