He is 36 years old. We have lots of major politicians that age in the USA, I'm surprised that would be an issue in Indian.
He does not have a lot of political experience; but, that is not always a bad thing. Also, he is from a political family so he is bound to have a basic knowledge of the issues and processes.
Mainly, however, he is a reasonable pick because he is the son of the Indian politician who died suddenly in a helicopter crash recently. Here in the USA we do not have as many political families as India, it's more of a rare thing in most states. But when a leader such as a Governor or Senator dies suddenly while in office, we often find that the best thing is to appoint the spouse to continue on in the same spirit that the voters originally wanted. Usually it's just until the next election, but sometimes the spouse turns out to be a great choice. Less commonly sons or daughters etc are the stand in.
I know Indian politics works differently, and I do think Indians have been overdoing the keeping of leadership in families. However, this fellow is a reasonable choice. He will have a good shot at keeping on at whatever his father's issues were and keeping his father's allies together.
If a better politician comes along, or a better party wins the next election, that's fine and the way Democracy works. But his age and relative inexperience are not disqualifying factors.

No, I don't think that Y S Jagan should become chief minister of Andhra Pradesh as he has not the experience of politics. We should not think emotionally that he should get this post as he lost his father. But we should look towards the welfare & future of people of AP. So in my opinion, experienced & honest politician should become the chief minister of AP.

Future of ap is far more darker than anyone could think . Hez lucky that he died before getting blamed to his futile and impossible promises he made . even if somebody get into his shoes , its only to get blamed for not fulfulling those utopian promises ,nothing more than that . thanks for answering.
