M$It's also a good way to learn lots of pointless trivia by reading answers to others questions you may have not seen to answer. I do tend to skip the silly questions though. I noticed many of those waiting for months are kind of stupid questions.

M$I voted right up to my limit from oldest first.. I see why you brought this up I'd say 80% of the ones I voted for there was on answer, and it turned out to be yours.
Well if a question sets a long time, I try and figure out the answer if I can I answer it. The backlog of questions is quite large also. So I recommend anybody to search for unanswered questions and try and research and answer even if you don't know it. I tend to stick with things that I know a little about already.
I especially don't answer current questions if I already thing a really good answer has already been given. A lot of the time it looks like people pile on popular questions just rewording the same points over and over. I don't think this is very useful unless your your an English major practicing summarizing and rewording techniques. :)

M$Now, to lighten the voting mood and encourage Mahaloians to be responsible voting members, I have the following treats for everybody:

M$Problem is, everyone will vote for either the latest, or the 20 'oldest' unanswered questions, and it will take up to 24 (48?) hours to get those 20 off the 'undecided' list. As long as there are more than 20 'older' questions answered, the 'undecided' backlog will grow...

M$Thats why some of the blackbelts have unlimited voting :)
Then again, black belts have no 'point' incentive to vote unlimited. My experience is that I'll vote on the questions on the first page oldest-to-new. So, I only get to vote on 20 questions max. Lazy, I know, but I expect many to do the same, and those 20 questions can get up to 20 votes!
Wow blackbelts have unlimited voting? I didn't know that. I mean I know I could have looked it up but I've never paid attention to that.
In any case, I'll try voting on as many questions as my belt level allows from now on. Thanks for bringing this up. When an asker forgets to select the best answer, or when s/he simply doesn't care enough to choose one once s/he has an answer, the efforts of the answerers are not rewarded, which is counter-productive for the site as a whole.

M$It's possible that the question had several good answers and they simply wanted to source the crowd to find the best of them.
I've often wanted a feature where you could narrow the choices IE throw out the answers you don't like and then send it to voting.
Also I hate just voting for one answer sometimes when several good answers in my mind have been given. I usually default to the first one given in that case which I don't think is completely fair but there is no other option. I'd rather split my vote among a couple answers.
While recently I saw a question where the asker said in the question he's planning to let it go to voting, I've also seen cases with one answer, and it seemed to me the answer was good, but still was not selected as best answer. As I said, I think it's usually a matter of some questions being overlooked.
Maybe there should be a staff member who goes through old (say over 2 weeks old) undecided questions with only one answer and either awards it best answer or hits "no best answer" if it is not relevant or non-responsive.

I'm a sucker for pin-up art. I think it's becoming a lost art form myself. Good link also!
