Please recommend a good web host for me.

Basically looking for reliability and cost.
Tip for best answer: M$2.10
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I have had my websites with SBI! for more than 5 years and they never have had downtime. They also offer a great collection of tools you can use to build your site. No extra costs and the price hasn't gone up since they started business 10 years ago. Click the link below to learn more. I just sold my very first site that I started with them and it brought over 60k. I did all the keyword research, page building and everything, plus I could review all kinds of stats to help improve the site.

I suggest Spectranet is the best option for Web Hosting Services in India. They are offering VSP Server Hosting, Dedicated Server Hosting, Shared Server, Disaster Recovery, Server Colocation, Managed Shared Hosting with its own Data Center in India. The services offering by Spectranet are very reliable and affordable with best support.

There are many web hosting companies that claim they are the cheapest and this is one big mistake that people normally commit, going for just plain "CHEAP". This question can not be answered to its fullest as I do not know what you are looking for to host. Is it an eCommerce site, a very large website, or just some relative small to medium sized blogs.

With the exception of eCommerce site, my best recommendation will be the same as what WordPress.org recommends as being number 1 in shared web hosting, and that is BlueHost. They are trully unlimited everything (domains, sub-domains, bandwidth, space, etc) and has top notch support. For registration, they give one free domain name for life (provided you maintain you account with them). That alone is worth a savings of at least between $10 - 15$ ($30 two years, $45 three years, etc). The cost for is $6.99 per month and if you do the math, you will find that it is cheaper than other hosting companies that claim to have $1 per month hosting. You have to be careful and read exactly what you are getting for that money. You will see that it is not worth it. More about BlueHost here: http://www.iblogzone.com/bluehost

there are other alternatives such as DreamHost, and GoDaddy. The problem as I said with them is that for the same "account" at blue host, it will cost you more on these other two. Plus I think that their user interface is not very friendly.

I've had excellent luck with Dreamhost. I can't recommend them enough. I started hosting my first site 12 years ago, and now currently host about 40. Four years ago, I switched from 1&1 and couldn't be happier. Dreamhost is carbon neutral, employee owned, has great technical support response time and answers, and - best of all - almost anything I want to do, I can do from their control panel. It's a very powerful way to administer your web sites. The one-click installs for things like Zencart, PHPBB, and Wordpress are fantastic. $10 a month for as many sites as you need? That's a great deal. Reliability is terrific as well, much better than 1&1.
