Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

well the most obvious is go see a councilor / psychiatrist and not people on the internet. There are also anger management programs everywhere you just have to look.

but for next time something happens just take a deep breath and think to yourself, "is this really such a big deal?" and go for a walk and clear your head :3

quote--
When something doesn't go right, try some of these things:

1)Make a list- Make a list of things, events or people who anger you. Work through the list thinking back on exactly what happened, what your role in the whole situation was and if there is any place in your heart for forgiveness. Remember forgiveness doesn't have to mean being friends with the person or trusting him or her again, it is a very important process undertaken to give you inner peace and total satisfaction.

2)Talk about it- Talking about the things that make you angry and unhappy will significantly reduce any bottled-up feelings which in the long-run may lead to anger attacks. Speak your mind after giving the matter serious consideration for a couple of hours or even days. Impulsiveness may just have the opposite effect of turning a speck of dust into a snowball running downhill.

3)Grudges- The most important lesson is life is not to carry around any grudges and to rather forgive and forget hurtful things. I know it is very easy to say it but to convert it into practical application every day is a whole other thing, but the key is to start small and to progress in size and seriousness of hurtful events. Anger and grudges are damaging to your present and future happiness as well as your health.

4)LOL- Yes, laughter solves a lot of problems including anger problems. Think out of the box by taking a back seat to the situations and getting a glimpse of the bigger picture. Every cloud has a silver lining, so do situations with anger generating factors also have laughter generating factors.

5)One of the easiest things: Take 3 deep breaths, and know that even if something doesn't go right for you, it will eventually.

I'd be curious about what happened to you a month or so ago. It sounds like you may for some reason be bottling up some rage inside from some traumatic incident, and that rage seems to be springing up because a part of you wants to express that rage or frustration.

Seeing a counselor would definitely be a wise choice.

Try reading your paragraph you just typed, and realizing how ridiculously unimportant the things are that you are getting angry over. Next time something like that happens, just stop and take a deep breath, and choose not to embarrass yourself.

You first must identify the root of the anger. Anger is the fruit of rotten roots. There can be many causes for this such as: growing up watching family members angry behavior, injustice, strife, unmet needs, jealousy, abuse of some kind.

You have to deal with the root cause and not try to cover it up. People can tell when something isn’t right. You may think you're hiding your anger, but it’ll eventually find a way to come out—either in voice tone, body language or attitudes.

Getting to the root can be VERY difficult. Digging deep to reach the bad root is painful, but it’s the only lasting way to take care of the problem. If there is someone you harbor bad feelings towards work on forgiveness.

Not sure if your a spiritual person, however, I recommend meditation where you spend time focusing on your thoughts and breathing.

Recognize that you feel the anger rising up within you try to stop, don't let your emotions control you. You can either choose to let your angry emotions manifest or let it pass away as if it were a cloud simply disappearing back into a bright blue sky.

Below are links to both a Christian and Buddhist techniques for dealing with anger. Hope this helps and good luck.
