when and how to become friends with dwane?

after the mission when you have to choose between killing him or playboy X?and i killed playboy X and i have not gotten a email or phone call yet from dwane?

you should be able to become friends with him before you have to choose which of them to kill. have you tried going to his name in the phone contacts list and calling him for food or something?
