2. Head downstairs to look for broken vase and grab the items inside.
3. Ask around town about Velwyn's whereabouts, follow him to the Imperial City.
4. In the Elven Gardens district, ask around again to find him in the King and Queen Tavern.
5. Velwyn comes back with you to open the portal.

How do i open the sealed portal in the basement within the benirus manor? After you buy it.
this is for the Playstation 3 version i am looking for.

You have to sleep in the house to start the quest line that ends up you interacting with the portal.
