What do you do to pass the big stone structure, which spits out fire balls on Devil May Cry?

it says "Prove your worth"... or something like that.
NOTE : it is after you fight the giant fish/crocodile boss.

You have to hit the fireball back at the structure.

Time your sword slash so that you hit the fireball. You'll have to deflect 3 of them back. Hope that helps.

Also, it's unclear whether you are playing DMC1 or DMC2, but both games feature sequences like this. Just reflect the fireballs back to progress further into the game.
