The original Sonic the Hedgehog (and many other classic games on the genesis, and SNES) showed off gameplay when turned on. It's only when you press start did the actual game start up and some main menu appear (though in Sonic the Hedgehog's case, just went straight into the game). If it's not start try all the buttons on your controller, and if that doesn't seem to do anything, try a different controller to see if the start button on it isn't working.

Trying to get the kids to play Sonic Mega Collection Plus on ps2, but it keeps autoplaying?
I've selected Sonic the Hedgehog from the games menu, and every time I do it loads up, then starts up with an autoplay of each level. What in the world am I doing wrong?

• Just press start huh? Too funny! I thought I did, but pressing it again sure worked! Thanks so much for explaining it!
