Play station 3, Wii and Xbox 360: which is the best choice as a gift for a large family of video game addicts & why?

My aunt is organizing a get-together for the whole family. There would be about eight different families at the feast. I have already bought a gift for six of the eight families. I want to buy a video game console for the last family. I know they already have play station 2 , which of three consoles do you think is the best to buy for them, and why did you chose it?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Wii is the best until the Xbox 360 Project Natal becomes available later this year.

Wii without an accessory makes you fit. PS3 and Xbox 360 without their upcoming new controllers doesn't make you fit. PS3 will soon have a controller not very different from what basic Wii has, but Project Natal will use your whole body as the controller. It will merge voice recognition, gesture recognition, and facial recognition. In other words, it is the game of the future.

Well, if you are looking for a console that's prepared for the whole family, I would say that The Wii is most prepared for that. You can buy Wii Sports or Boom Blox, and you can have fun just seeing people wave their hands and move around. Then you can pop in a game like Super Smash Bros. for the kids who are a little bit older, but it's still parent approved.
