Kuala Lumpar:
According to http://www.malaysiatravel.org.uk/tourist-attraction/index.html:
QUOTE
To describe Kuala Lumpur is like opening a book that has various exciting chapters. Yes, this only global city of Malaysia appears blessed with colors of modernism along with rich heritage. Though formally KL spans over an area of 244 sq kms, its plush precincts virtually get bigger to embrace the entire world. Kuala Lumpur is situated at the confluence of Sungai Gombak and Sungai Klang, and probably, that's how it got its name, which literally means 'muddy confluence' in Malay language.

M$Here's my top 3:
3) Penang (The Pearl of the Orient!) has many stunning spots. Checkout Georgetown named after King George III (a British king). It is a quaint town steeped in culture and history. Also be sure to visit Kek Lok Si which is a stunning piece of Buddhist architecture.
If you travel with kids take time to visit the Penang toy museum in Tanjung Bunga which has a collection of 100,000 toys (the biggest anywhere in the world!).
2) Terengganu has a stunningly beautiful natural landscape perfect for explorers! On the east coast be sure to check out Redang Island with it's beautiful clear blue waters. Loads of activities are available here including scuba diving, fishing, wind surfing and canoeing.
Take time to visit Malaysia's highest waterfall - Cemerong - with a staggering 300 metre plus drop!
1) Langkawi is a beautiful island (the jewel of Kedah!) that is simply a once in a lifetime must. With crystal clear waters and rocky outcrops this is a truly unblemished haven in Southeast Asia.
Kuah is a must for visitors as it is Langkawi's shopping paradise with a broad range of goods at duty free prices.
