"Best" is rather subjective, but the top ones I've found with superior features are, as lesliec says Photobucket and Flickr.

Also Snapfish, Shutterfly and Picasa.

I prefer Picasa as it's a Google product and has a great free desktop application (one of the best I've ever seen) that integrates seamlessly with storage upload to your own free Google account. And the on-line storage account is easy to use and incorporate into your website.
Asker's rating:
Gives a good range of what would appear to be the mainstream sites. I mainly use my own site www.photoartgallery.com but was interested to see what others use. Thanks Ecpfeco and Mahalo !

I personally use photobucket.

I can upload them, also use url's to cut and paste them on my myspace or wherever I need to. And print them. There is also cool little albums, and fun widgets on the site
