I would be fine with it. I have both taken pictures before and been nude before. I think that things done in the name of art (as this was, Zack Hyman is famous for public nude art) are fine, as long as done tastefully and carefully. There is a reason his things are done outside or on subways, and not in malls or food courts or schools. Discretion is indeed the name of this game.
I would be more suprised with all sorts of other things, like a bird hitting a window (saw it once, very shocking and sad and suprising) or a tree falling onto a car (i saw it right after it happened) or a power line catching on fire (this weekend that happened in my neighborhood). Natural events or random events are of far greater emotional impact for me then staged, artistic events.
So in a nutshell nudity in public for arts sake, not a problem. Snap away!

I do sometimes have dreams in which I go out, I'm in the middle of doing something, and then notice I'm only wearing my pyjamas or less. :)
After I realised it was happening for real, I suppose I'd assume it's some kind of a publicity stunt., unless it looked like the person had psychological problems.

To the shock of passengers, photographer Zach Hyman photographed nude 'volunteers' on the subway. What would your reaction be if you...
witnessed a person strip down to their birthday suit on the subway?

I would think I was still asleep and having a dream. I do sometimes have dreams in which I go out, I'm in the middle of doing something, and then notice I'm only wearing my pyjamas or less. :)

I wouldn't really mind. I have eyes that I can move away or towards depending on what to see. He claims it's not for a pornographic purpose (your mileage may vary, but at least there's the intent) and most importantly, he's getting consent from his models. I'm much more concerned about people harassing others on the subway, which both happens all the time and gets only a fraction of the publicity that stunts like this do.

If it's not pornography, why only slim, young naked females. I'd believe the art not porn bit if it was of nude males and people of larger sizes customarily viewed as "too fat to be pornographic. " If it's a statement about public nudity then why stick to saleable thin young females? I say busted he's busted for fakery.
