It is a smart healthy dog with a wild origin. It sounds like a good hunting dog.

I voted "No Best Answer," because neither answer is representative of the quality that Mahalo hopes to achieve. One answer is copied and pasted, without a link. While the second answer is paraphrased, it uses the same source and offers little information beyond a description that can be applied to many dog breeds.

A answer asking for a definition often results in a one to two sentence answer (The way it was phrased I did not even know if you knew it was a dog), I admit that my answer was not long however I did provide a link to a site that went into great detail.

If you were looking for greater detail I would suggest offering a tip or setting the expectation of a level of detail in the detail section.

The Kai Ken (甲斐犬?, also called the Tora Inu or Tiger Dog) is a breed of dog that hails from Japan where it is a national treasure and has been bred for centuries. It is an extremely rare dog even in its native land and is related to the Spitz dog type. The Kai Ken is a medium sized dog with a wedge shaped head and prick ears. Males are typically 18 to 22 inches at the shoulder, while the females are slightly smaller, 17 to 20 inches at the shoulder.Kai.jpg
