I wanna buy a peacock, for a pet. Is that even reasonable? What do I need to keep a peacock?

Peacocks are very loud and often only permitted in areas zoned for agriculture. Check with your local regulations to make sure they are permitted and check with your neighbors to make sure they won't mind. You'll also want to make sure you have plenty of land for them to roam around and peck, otherwise your bird will not be happy at all.

Check local regulations to make sure they're permitted in your area.

They can screech loudly, so you'll want to make sure you don't have close neighbors, and you'll need a large area with a caged roof to make sure they don't fly away. They can live until they are 50 years old, so this is a long term comittment.
