There are yellow moths with black stripes.
They look very 'bee' like.
I first searched via pictures on google, but when I only got a basic description of 'yellow moth with black stripes' I couldn't find any other links that look good.
There are many flying creatures that mimic other species, so I would guess that they are moths!

I have noticed several yellow and black bees around my front door, they tend to hang around lights, and they kind of look like moths.
What can you tell me about this creature? What is it, a moth or a bee?

• That's what I thought also because they don't try to sting or anything. Thanks
