Do not get your hands in the mix... you will get bit and it wont be pretty. If you are on your own property turn the garden hose on and spray them. If you are out walking your dog should be on leash... pull on your dog. Attacked is an article with a lot of details about how to stop a dog fight. They offer a one person and two person approach. Clearly the one person approach is going to be a lot more difficult. The most important thing to remember is keep your hands and other body parts out of the fight, its hard to do because it is easy to react when you see your pet being attacked.

You can also use a broom (without hurting any of the animals preferrably) or spraying them with the water hose. Just don't get into it yourself unless you understand you could be seriously injured.
