Being a Chihuahua owner myself...
On average, the life expectancy of a Chihuahua can be up to 15 years.
You have to also factor in the breeding of each dog and their general health over the years. I had a purebred that past away after 11 years, and I currently own a Chihuahua mix who is going on 14 and very healthy.
