I'd say that it has, I hope it has. The television program 'Dog Town' has probably helped to raise awareness as a few of the segments focus on rescuing groups of dogs who had been held in deplorable conditions for years at puppy mills. Dog Town, a place for the hard luck rescue cases, is a no-kill rehabilitation center and shelter in Utah and is run by Best Friends Animal Society.

Do you think public awareness has been raised about puppy mills?
There has been more press about puppy mills in the media recently, including a big show on Oprah. Do you think more Americans are aware that pet store dogs and a lot of dogs sold online come from puppy mills, and do you think people understand why that's a bad thing?
