"Whilst they're not a pet in the traditional sense - Many would consider them livestock - they do make good companions for trekking and packing, even, as one golf course in the states has realized, as golf caddies. They are natural at this and take little training, and their leathery feet do little damage to the terrain. They can also be trained to pull a cart, of simply for shows, and parties as attractive crowd pleaser's."
