IT will def help you keep track of your finances. I started using mint.com and then only I came to know that had almost 10K in credit card debt. I previously used to think that its jsut a few 1000's here and there but thats when I saw the big picture.

There are a few other similar to mint.com, the only other comparable to mint.com is quicken online which is also similar to mint and comparable to mint.com in user experience

I concur. Mint is great for getting a 5-second birds-eye view of your finances. I haven't used it for much more than that, as we use Microsoft Money to track our individual expenses, but I've been using it for over a year with no major complaints.

I use Mint and I have to say, if you are lazy about money management the way I am, it is a great tool to give you a summary of where you are at with all your money. Here is the thing; it can only tell you where you are at. It hasn't really helped me change my habits. But it IS very convenient for a all-in-one place to look at what is going on. It can be easy to forget about if you do not keep checking.

I have used Mint for about 9 months now and for 6 months of that I have been fresh out of college. This has helped me develop a budget and learn what needs to be tweaked in my budget and where I can cut back.

Being able to trend past spending data is incredibly valuable. The best thing about the site to me is that trending data is something that can be confusing but it is presented in such a simple pie chart interface that you can't help but to understand where you spend your money.

I think it could really help you learn where you spend your money and help you target areas that you spend too much and consequently reduce that spending.

Another thing that I bring up when talking to my friends is the sheer volume of awards this site has won since its conception. The most important of which - in my opinion - is Best Presenting Company in TechCrunch40.

The biggest downside is if they don't yet work with your bank. My room mate is in that situation and is waiting until that is resolved before he can join the site. From what I understand though nearly every major bank is represented on the site.

I tried mint.com and wesabe.com and decided Wesabe was better. I don't use either now as I have cut out all my credit cards, but wesabe.com was interesting.

You don't have to use it to just track credit cards. I use it to track my checking and savings account balances and my 401k balance and if I were really crazy I'd put in my student loans but I don't want to be that depressed.

intimidating to keep up with appropriating the right purchases to make the graphs look accurate. Always late for over-draft fee alerts too.
