Well, the least expensive option would be to bring your laptop into your office. If you have an inexpensive internet cafe near your office, I suppose that might be an option but it certainly would not give you a lot of privacy . I am including several links about using Sykpe in the UK. I'm not sure what you mean by a "decent price" for a new PSP but would you consider renewing your contract with your current mobile phone provider (assuming you like their services) and then upgrade your phone for one that has an option for using Skype. Depending on your service contact, maybe you could just upgrade without extending your contract.

Whats a small, economical device (in UK) which will allow video Skype calls over WiFi. Not PSP please :-)
I'd like to be able to conduct video Skype calls with my wife and kid from my office, in my lunch hour, obviously :-). I can do this using the office WiFi. I don't want to have to lug my laptop into work eveyday to do this and our desktop PCs are locked down. I was wondering what good, cheap device would allow me to do this? I know the new PSPs have this option, but I already have a perfectly good PSP and wouldn't want to buy another one. The Nokia N810 sprang to mind, but that doesn't seem to be available at a decent price... Any ideas? Thanks in advance

As I stated, I don't really want to be carrying in a laptop everyday.
I work in a business park and there is no internet cafe within walking distnace.
I wasn't referring to the PSP when I mentioned a 'decent price', I was talking about any alternative device, I have a 1st gen PSP that won't run skype but I don't think it's worth buying a new PSP just for the Skype functionality.
Work currently pay for my mobile phone but they won't pay for any data use (and I can't add data onto my tariff out of my own pocket as the phone company aren't that flexible), that's why I was asking about wifi, it's here, it's available and it's free I just need the right gadget! It's a tough one, I'm looking through your links to see if an answer jumps out. Thank you again for taking the time to answer. Have a good day!
