If you're using wired controllers, then all you have to do is plug into USB and play, if you want to use wireless, you'll need the wireless adapters for PC, and each one supports up to 4 xbox controllers:

Does anyone know if you can use two XBOX 360 controllers on one PC for multi-player games such as Madden?

Good to know. With consoles so prevalent today, I think most people would end up preferring Xbox controllers to off the shelf PC gamepads. Next time, include the price in the answer; looks like $17 on Amazon right now.
