Each year, Punxsutawney Phil, the Pennsylvania groundhog supposedly predicts if we are going to more weeks of winter. In reality, Phil does not have a thing to do with it since it all depends on if the sun is out so he can see his shadow. Heck it could be an elephant telling us if we are going to have more winter or not. It really doesn’t matter. It is just that some people find it amusing every year and make a big thing out of it.

Now with Paul the Octopus, the German fortune teller of the World Cup soccer, I don’t have a clue what to think of him. The people evidently put food in two containers and the one that Paul opens first is supposed to win the World Cup. Personally, I would not believe either one. They are both utilized to get attention and although I love animals to death and believe they do have special powers, some of the powers are not predicting winter time or the World Class Soccer game. And unless I had some extra money to throw around and lose, I won’t be betting on either one of them. I do think they are fun to read and watch videos about though.

I do not see anything wrong with you comparison. I believe animals are hyper sensitive and due to the fact that they have no worry in the world, their minds can work freely and their senses are always alert to all things around them.

I think this is very common in animals that have lived in the wild; either in the land or sea. They tend to receive the vibration of other creatures around them and in this way they can defend themselves from predators.

It is good to know that these vibrations might be confused for something else and therefore put the animal in danger. I do not think that I can bet on the predictions of either Paul, the octopus or Phil, the groundhog. I can only appreciate the good that can be gotten from their predictions.
