Elekta lists all the gamma knife centers on their website. There are a number in Dallas and Houston as well as a number of other major cities. I know Texas is a large area, but if you have discretion as to where you go I would call in advance and ask some questions. The obvious one is how long the treating docs have been practicing, etc. The less obvious one is to ask about their treatment prep. That can can make a tremendous amount of difference from center to center. The more care that they take to alleviate your pain and stress prior to treatment, the better off you will be. So if you have a choice between two places with equal or similar experience, choose the one with the better approach to patient care.
