Hmmm, they do like them don't they but at 1 year old they won't really mind too much, its the parents that you should do them for if you are going to do them :)

Something for their child and then something for them would be my suggestion.

A few little pretty stickers or small fluffy toy for young child, a small bag of fancy chocolates or sweets or biscuits for the parents, maybe even a little card with little silver/gold teddy bear or angel ( do you know the ones I mean ?? )

Something nice but not too hard for you to manage and something that the parent can keep :)

Have fun! You know the babies are going to go crazy for the wrapping paper hehehehe

What about this idea - fairy cupcake bags!

Not unless it ends up being more of an adult party than a child's party, in which case cupcakes and cigars all around! Just make sure junior is down for his nap first.

Well you don't need them for the birthday kid, but there is usually a variety of ages at a birthday party, so others might appreciate them. Little colorful blow-up beach balls and stuff would be fun for all, including the baby. No marbles!

Yes. Kids like getting party favors at the end of the birthday party. It is not about the baby's age. Party favors are all about the guests. So, if you are inviting kids to your baby's party, you need party favors for them. It will be rude not to give the guests (kids) party favors.

You don't really need any party favors for any party, but people love them. For a one-year-old's birthday party provide age-appropriate favors for other babies, including plush balls or rattle toys or building blocks with animals or shapes inside. Avoid cheap favors which can pose choking hazards. Other good favors for one-year-old guests include divided plates, plastic eating utensils for babies learning to self-feed, board books or waterproof books, rubber ducks for the tub, or a sippy cup.
