My daughters (now 18 and 21) have both had incredible experiences in the Destination Imagination program(a nonprofit organization) -- it's allowed them to build vehicles, construct towers and bridges, and express themselves artistically as well. Most importantly, it taught them to work cooperatively as part of a team. The speaker at the DI graduation this year, a VP from 3M, described the program as fostering "coopetition"...a form of cooperative competition . You can find their website at http://www.idodi.org/.
