Art project: Self-portrait, half me, half animal/ alien / ???
Looking for ideas for my metamorphosed half !

In a few weeks time, I'm heading for an art project. Our task is to draw a self-protrait (no colour) of our frontal face, one side normal, the other half metamorphosed. It can be an animal, an alien, a comic character, a famous person... whatever you could possibly think of. Unfortunately, I can't find a suitable one. I don't know which animal to go for that would be interesting to draw and fits myself at the same time. Can't rely to an alien either. Since I'm wearing glasses, I thought of combining them with another idea (like a mask or something) and even thought of going for a theme such as Marie Antoinette (you know, the hair style, etc.) but maybe that's TOO close to a normal face... looking forward to your answers ! Glasses could easily be blended into a butterfly. A tiger would be nice. With my art I try to think of something noone else would come up with. Can it be an inanimate object? A Tree( branches only or low foliage) that "grows" word/phrases/object meaningful to you would be unique. I see both eyes still visible (one through branches)

Just another thought when I first read this i though face split 50/50 forehead to chin, but can the split be horizontal? Possibly have the top of your head coming out of the tree and your hair (if long enough) intertwining with the branches

Great idea but unfortunately it has to be some kind of living being... and the split can't be horizontal because our human half has to represent our drawing skills when it comes to facial features (we learned how to draw eyes / etc. so we have to show what we've learned)... I thought of a tiger before and I guess if I can't find anything else, some kind of a wildcat would be my first choice.

you can always try to find what your spirit animal would be (just out of curiousity) depending on your personality and your habits, it will be revealed what your spirit ally would be. Look into your local library or bookstore that has books regarding animal spirits with your own spirituality.
