What are the most over packaged items?
Listening to NPR this morning I caught just a sliver of a tid bit where a man was talking about shaving a bit of size of the packaging off a toy truck his company was building. This meant the shipping costs would be less as he could fit a LOT more of them on the ship but more importantly this packaging reduction saved over 500,000 gallons of diesel fuel as more boxes could fit on a single ship.
What every day items do you have, see, or know about that if the packaging was reduced it would mean a lot of green savings as well? What are the most over packaged items?

My brother bought a razor yesterday. It had the following packaging:
Three layers of flexible clear plastic
Two long pieces or wire
Five layers of cardboard
Two thin layers of thick clear plastic
Four stickers
That is ridiculous, when I have seen other razors just in a small box. Most over packaged, non?
