What are some good resources for filing US Patents?
I've got an idea that I want to get patented, and unfortunately, the US patent system is downright byzantine when it comes to finding appropriate information.
Has anyone here filed a patent successfully? If so, what resources did you use for information like formatting, details, drawings, etc?

Is there any specific problem you are having with the filing process? Have you tried calling the patent and trademark office?

You're going to need to hire a patent attorney. Read this article on how to find a good patent attorney: http://inventors.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ/Ya&sdn=inventors&cdn=money&tm=11&f=00&tt=14&bt=1&bts=0&zu=http%3A//www.inventionconvention.com/ncio/inventing101/029.html
